Samuel Marks

Samuel has led in the church for the last 20 years teams, whether as a worship pastor, leading musicians, production staff, or serving as a youth pastor, discipling youth and leading youth staff, or heading a creative design team of media & arts.

His passions are Christian formation through worship, liturgy and prayer, as well as songwriting & music production. He recently released his first LP, “Love is Won” and two singles “Summers in December,” and “I Was Fire”.

He and his wife, Lindsey, church-planted after graduating from Lee University, pastored in Chicago for 5 years, and moved with their three children (Ephraim, Eden & Eshton) to Battle Creek, Michigan in early 2015.

His claim to fame is liking U2 long before it was cliche, leading a ragamuffin band called "Free Refills" as a teenager, and holding his breath for three underwater laps of his parents' pool in sunny South Florida. He hates mayonnaise and anything that hosts it as an ingredient. He’s a 4 on the Enneagram, (which means he cries a lot). And he’s prone to interrupting people on accident, losing his keys and making messes that rival his three year old daughter’s.
